The minute we break things down to their separate parts, measuring how much of this equals that and is it worth the dough, is the minute we’ve lost the plot on what belonging really means.
You don’t have to invest in ournetwork – but invest in some type of community that speaks to you. It will sustain you when things get rough, when you need recommendations, when you don’t know how to go about doing this thing or that thing; your network will come through.
When I have a feeling of being outside of something, of being the one who isn’t quite in the loop, it kinda sucks. I like feeling known; I like when I’m seen for me – it’s one of the highest places to live. A strong, cohesive community facilitates that.
